Brave Molly

Brave Molly

Brave Molly book cover.

Written and illustrated by: Brooke Boynton Hughes.

This is a wordless picture book about a child who is lonely but also suffers from social anxiety. The shadowy monsters in the book represents the anxiety that haunts her. What I like about wordless books is how the reader can relate to the book they way they need to. Until the end when Molly feels empowered enough to speak to someone, the narrative is open to the reader. The is a great book to help encourage a child to talk about their feelings.
