I wanted to post this book because it applies to more than Birthday parties but to any big event or celebration.

Lucas really wants to have fun at birthday parties but they are very overwhelming for him. When he is invited to his friend’s party, he is determined to do what everyone else is doing (and like it). In the end, with the help of a new friend, he learns birthday parties just aren’t for him and that’s ok. This book touches on sensory issues such as sound and touch. This is a great book for all elementary level readers.
