MY SHADOW IS PINK is a sweet book about gender identity and self-acceptance. In this book a young child wants to wear a dress on their first day of school. After a not so perfect day of school the child decides to never wear a dress again, at first. The father is an book is an extremely positive roll model and teaches their child that being themselves is more important that peer acceptance. The love portrayed in this picture book will bring a tear to anyone’s eye. I would recommend this book to any age child who is still enjoying picture books.
