This is the story of Afghan girl and her mother and a library bus. Pari’s Mama travels weekly to visit young girls in villages and refugee camps. It is explained that because of their displacement, these children don’t have access to school. Although this book doesn’t go into detail about why these families are in camps, it is a good way to open the conversation about the hardships they are going through and the limitations women have in terms of education.
This picture book is based on the children the author meet at refugee camps.
