The river’s rhythm runs through my veins. Runs through the veins of my people
This book about a child taking a stand against the pollution that is harming the her community. The story was inspired by indigenous-led movements across North America. The pollution is represented as a black snake and is reminiscent of the pipeline but its not mentioned straight out. The art and the message is beautiful and inspires young activists.
