I need to start by saying that I love Kyle Lukoff and everything they do! I recommend reading anything you could find by this author.

This is a fantastic book to introduce children to what it means to be to transgender and to read to children that are trying to understand themselves better. Written by a transgender author, CALL ME MAX is about a child on his first day of school. It covers friendships, dead names, bathroom issues and understanding as a whole. This picture book is written in chapters that separate the issues Max faces. This book is also the first in a series!!
