This book isn’t about Trinity coming out as transgender but more about her wanting long hair to feel more like herself. The problem is that Trinity, who is also autistic, has sensitivity to the feeling of her hair growing and touching her neck. That’s when her family comes up with a plan and creates Trinity’s rainbow. This is a beautiful book and I would recommend it to any child or adult who still likes reading picture books.
