This is a picture book meant to promote empathy and help children to understand paranoid schizophrenia and what it is like for someone who lives with auditory and visual hallucinations. This book is set in the eyes of a child and compares “imaginary friends” with  hallucinations caused by a mental illness. This book is written for ages 4 and up but the concept may not be easier for a younger children to understand.
