This is a picture book meant to help people understand paranoid schizophrenia and what it is like for someone who lives with auditory and visual hallucinations. This book is set in the eyes of a child and compares “imaginary friends” with hallucinations. One child has an imaginary friends that she plays with happily but the other child suffers with hallucinations that do not make him happy. This book promotes empathy and understanding to people who deal with this kind of mental illness.
