As a lovebird, Rissy is “supposed” to love kisses, but she doesn’t. Rissy is concerned there is something wrong with her but her mom supports her and her differences. This is a great book about consent and asking before touching someone. The book also explains that children have the right to say no to touching they are uncomfortable with. The message in this book is very strong and ends with an author’s note about consent.
