This is a book about a transgender girl named Sam. Sam’s parents are extremely supportive of who she is although her brother is having a harder time. He doesn’t want to lose his brother and playing with him. At school the students are not very nice to Sam but the teacher is a very positive person. Sam’s brother doesn’t know how to react to the students. In the end her brother understands that she is still his sibling, his sister, and still likes to play the same things. In very simple words, this book helps children understand what it means to be transgender with a focus on sibling relationships. It also promotes understanding, communication and kindness.
