This is a book about empowerment and being different. It encourages love and kindness to all people even when someone isn’t being very nice to you. In the book Lucy is being made fun of because of her differences. When Lucy confronts her bully, she was ready to tell him how mean he is but she sees inside his heart and helps him instead. While this book has a strong theme about bullying, it takes a very different angle on dealing with this situation.
