This book is a realistic story about a child who is very shy but wants to make a friend. What is great about this book is no one is pushing her to be brave.  She chooses to take a stand over her shyness on her own. The child in this book gains the confidence in herself to say hi and make a good friend. I recommend this to any young child especially children dealing with social anxiety.
