I want to start by saying that this book is illustrated by Rebecca Burgess, who is autistic. I love promoting books that support Own Voices.
This is book presents the daily activities of a child who has sensory differences. It explains in her own voice (although she does not speak) how texture effects getting dressed, trying new food and playing at the park. This book is meant to help allistic people gain more understanding of children with sensory differences whether it is part of someone’s autism or other reasons.
Book submitted by: Library for the Kind.
