Program Description
This is a fun and silly Pop Tart craft for ages 3 and up. The theme of the program is self confidence and individuality. Child may need help with using safety scissors. 🙂
Materials
Materials for Craft
- Polar fleece cut 1′ by 2′ yellow
- Lots of colors of felt sheet
- Pom poms of all colors and shapes
- Yarn of all colors and styles
- Safety scissors glue
- Hot glue gun
- Poly Fil

- “Let’s Taco About How Great You Are” by Bob Holt
Song
Activity/Structure
Prep the craft before hand by hot gluing 2 of the yellow fleece sheets together keeping an opening for the children to stuff it with poly fil stuffing.
- Start with your welcome song.
- Next I read The Orange Splot, pointing out some of the most fun additions the characters make to their home.
- Ask the children what fun things they would add to their own homes.
- The I played Its Raining Tacos. I also used my bubble machine
- Read “Let’s Taco About How Great You Are”
- Craft time! For this craft, encourage children to have fun. Make a prototype Pop Tart with fun items like pickles, aliens for example.
- Have the children stuff their pillows with Poly Fil.
- Hot glue them closed.
- Then let the kids have at it with all the craft supplies!
